A little help
CareClasp support
Practical answers for using CareClasp for Android and keeping your information under your control.
Can you see my health records?
No. CareClasp stores saved records and originals encrypted on your phone. The app has no health-record server and does not send your vault contents or keys to Genesis Ops LLC. Anything you choose to email to support is separate and becomes available to us and the email providers involved.
How do I protect against losing my phone?
Create an encrypted backup in the app, save it somewhere you can recover, and keep its password separately. Android cloud backup and automatic device transfer are disabled. We cannot reset your backup password or recover your records. Confirm that a backup works before clearing app storage or uninstalling.
What should I check when importing a photo or lab result?
Use a clear, well-lit image of printed English text. Review the test name, decimal point, value, units and date against the original. Text recognition can miss or misread information. If a result is missing, use Add a missing result in the lab review screen, or enter it manually. Do not save a suggested value you have not checked.
Does a caregiver always see my latest information?
No. Caregiver sharing creates an explicit, encrypted, dated snapshot of the sections you choose. The recipient imports a read-only copy using the opening code you give separately. It does not update automatically and you cannot remotely revoke an exported copy. A caregiver role in the app does not establish power of attorney.
Why does the app lock when I return?
The vault locks after five minutes of inactivity, including time spent in the background. Lock records locks it immediately. CareClasp can preserve unfinished record and lab-review forms encrypted locally so you can recover them after unlocking.
Will changes update my phone calendar?
No. Add to calendar opens your calendar editor for you to review and save an appointment. It creates a separate entry. Later edits in CareClasp do not update that calendar copy.
Is CareClasp available on Google Play?
CareClasp is available to invited Google Play internal testers while the public release is being prepared. There is no public Google Play download linked from this website yet.
What should I include in a support email?
Include your phone model, Android version, CareClasp version and the steps that caused the problem. Describe what you expected and what happened. Use fictional examples and redact screenshots. Do not attach medical records, vault backups, passwords or sharing codes.
For questions about your health or treatment, contact your healthcare professional. Support cannot provide medical advice or emergency assistance.
